The Berdorfer Kéis is a well-known specialty from Luxembourg. This cheese is produced in Berdorf using only milk from the farm itself. The Schmalen dairy was founded 40 years ago from a simple idea. René Schmalen learned cheese-making abroad and began experimenting on his own. Today, Monique Schmalen runs the business. The milk comes from their own cows. In addition to Berdorfer Kéis and Roude Bouf, the dairy also produces yogurt, quark, and ice cream. Berdorfer Kéis is especially popular in different flavors. The production is artisanal and carried out with great care. In summer, there is also a beautiful terrace in the courtyard where you can enjoy all the products on a snack platter or try a delicious ice cream.
